About Spoonfeed
We have been making meal plans every week for five years. And now we're sharing them.
We started making meal plans when we moved to Belgium from the UK. And when we moved, we were shocked at the high prices - and even more shocked to hear that so many people in Belgium actually leave the country to groceries.
The thing is, Belgium is a smaller market than the UK or Germany. So supermarkets operate a different pricing strategy. Groceries aren't expensive in Belgium, if you avoid convenience. You just need a plan.
Thanks to our meal plans, every day we make seasonal, homely, and varied meals that cost under an average of €30 a week.
Spend under €30 per person a week on food
How we do it
- DIY attitude. Avoid low value takeaways or meal-kits.
- Seasonal ingredients. Healthy, sustainable, and on offer!
- Cook for four. Use the economy of scale with a leftovers lunch.
- Buy in bulk. Purchase at a discount and stash items in the pantry.
- Follow a meal plan! Reduce food waste and maximise your budget.
